January 22, 2013 Board Meeting Agenda Item #14 Title APPROVAL OF EXPULSION CASE NO. 13-160 Description On December 14, 2012, the student listed in Expulsion Case No. 13-160, violated School Board Policy 5.32, Zero Tolerance (1)(d) Assault, Battery, or Aggravated Battery on a Teacher, Other School Personnel or an Official.  It is the recommendation of the Superintendent, that the student be expelled from the Sarasota County Schools until June 2, 2014.  Recommendation That in accordance with provisions of Sections 1006.07(1)(a)(b), Florida Statutes and School Board Policy 5.34, and the holding of a hearing have been waived by the student/parent, the recommendation as specified in expulsion Case No. 13-160, to expel the student reference therein from the Sarasota County Schools, be approved effective immediately for the remainder of the 2012-2013 academic year, the 2013 summer session, and the entire 2013-2014 academic year.
